Publicity Coordinator: Spring Hill Horse Rescue (SHHR) is recruiting a communications and publicity intern for the 2011-2012 academic year. Responsibilities include writing press releases, editing SHHR’s newsletter, identifying media opportunities, promoting events and fundraisers through print and social media, and representing SHHR at public events. The successful candidate will have strong writing, interpersonal, and computer skills as well as a genuine interest in animal protection. As the intern will need to travel to SHHR’s meetings and other events, applicants should have reliable transportation. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Communications, Journalism, or English major to gain experience in a small, friendly not-for-profit – and to help some of Vermont’s neediest horses.
